Parametric search
With the parametric search you can search for tools by selecting their tool class and defining their parameters.
The parametric search consists of three parts:
-
Tool class selection (left): Here you can select the tool class. By selecting a tool class all direct sub classes will be displayed, which can also be selected.
We recommend to select always the most precise tool class (on the lowest layer) for best search results.
-
Parameter input (center): You can use this form to describe you tool by parameters. The available parameters depend on the selected tool class (tool class selection (left)).
In the top end of the form you can switch between tools in your own components and public ToolsUnited tools. Moreover you can search only for tools with a 3D graphic.
Below the form you can clear all entered search parameters or start the search with the "Show search results" button. In the "Show search results" button you can see the amount of tools that you can find with the current parameters.
-
Help graphic (right): On the right side you will see a helping graphic depending on the currently selected tool class. Not all tool classes have a help graphic.
It is recommended to start with the tool class selection, because the parameters may vary with the change of the tool class.
